The new smart system by Bosch eBike Systems consists of the eBike Flow app, control unit, display, battery, and drive unit. The new system generation combines high-quality eBike components with digital functions and thus raises your everyday and leisure riding enjoyment to the next level. We are extremely excited about these updates and the bikes we have in store featuring them!
This system is based on a modified data exchange between the individual components. The motor boasts the same performance data as the 4th generation Bosch Performance Line CX motor. It currently represents the benchmark with up to 340% pedal assistance, a maximum torque of 85 Nm, extremely sporty start-up characteristics, and pedalling rate assistance of up to 120 rpm. It stands out on account of its outstanding dynamics, minimal pedalling resistance and low weight of about 2.9 kg. At the same time, it is small and compact, ensuring ultra-aesthetic and unobtrusive integration.
The eBike Flow app is the key component here. It opens up a connected eBike world to you with entirely new riding experiences. This is what Connected Biking is all about. You can enhance your eBike with new features and over-the-air updates, record your activities such as personal ride and fitness data, customise your riding modes and keep an eye on all the important information — from the battery charge status to the next service appointment — via the Home screen. Further features will also follow in the future via the eBike Flow app. It is available in English, German and French with more languages to follow.
Since the safety of your eBike is just as important to us as your riding enjoyment, many eBikes with the smart system can be retrofitted with the 'ConnectModule' in the future, which enables new functions for theft protection. For example, your eBike can sound an acoustic alarm to deter thieves and if it does get stolen, you can track it via smartphone.
For the highest demands in terms of performance and aesthetics: Bosch PowerTubes have the power to drive any ride and, thanks to their compact size and minimalist design, can be integrated with the eBike to ideal effect. There are two versions (horizontal or vertical), which are installed directly by the manufacturer, depending on the eBike model. The sophisticated technology ensures carefree riding enjoyment: An additional safety catch prevents the battery from falling out, while still allowing it to be removed with ease. Bosch offers three variants of integrated lithium-ion batteries, which cover all application areas with different energy content.
The new PowerTube 750 battery of the smart system offers you the biggest range of all Bosch PowerTubes. In addition to sleek integration in the eBike, safety, easy handling and durability, and with a weight of approximately 4.4kg and a full charge time of around 6 hours
Fully networked control centre: The LED Remote connects your eBike with the eBike Flow app. It enables you to use the smart system to call up all key information, such as the current battery charge level or the distance travelled. The data is displayed on the Kiox 300 or on your smartphone via the eBike Flow app. Because the LED Remote automatically adjusts its brightness to the ambient light, it remains very easy to read even in sunlight and does not cause a distraction in the dark.
The Bosch Kiox 300 display is available for the new Bosch smart system and features the same functions as the Bosch Kiox display. The Bosch Kiox 300 display is perfect for sporty riders: it provides fitness data, at the same time optimising your training with graphic comparison views of your individual statistics, including pedalling rate or output. It is even possible to pair it with heart rate monitors by Bluetooth. The colour display automatically regulates the background lighting to ensure that you have all the statistics to hand during the day and at night. Map-free navigation (only in conjunction with a smartphone) completes the features of the Kiox 300. And, thanks to its well-thought-out user interface, the Kiox 300 can be simply and intuitively operated using the LED remote control.
